Vihat Tirth

Official app — Shree Vihat Meldi Maa Temple, Sanand, Gujarat, India

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 27 April 2026
Last updated: 27 April 2026

In the spirit of seva and devotion: Vihat Tirth is offered humbly as a religious and devotional companion for bhaktas of Shree Vihat Meldi Maa and all who wish to stay connected with our mandir. The App exists solely to share temple-related content—darshan, kirtan and bhajans, updates, gallery, and sacred remembrance—so that devotees may draw strength and peace in their daily lives.

We wish to be clear before Ma’s darbar: there are no payments, no in-app purchases, no advertisements, and no account sign-in or login required for devotees to use the App. General users are never asked to create a profile to receive darshan or listen to bhajans. Only authorised temple authorities may access administrative tools to publish and manage content, and that content is limited to our mandir and its religious activities—we do not use this platform for unrelated commercial or secular campaigns.

This Privacy Policy describes, in plain language, how we handle information when you use our mobile application (the “App”). It supports transparency for our sangat and is written to meet common expectations for Google Play and the Apple App Store. By using the App with faith and goodwill, you agree to this policy.

1. Data controller

Under the grace of the mandir, the organisation responsible for the App and this policy is:

Name: Shree Vihat Meldi Maa Temple / Vihat Tirth
Location: Sanand, Gujarat, India
Privacy & support (technical / administrative): vihatraminfotech@gmail.com

2. Information we collect

Because the App is built for darshan and seva—not for commerce—we collect only what helps us serve devotees faithfully and keep the mandir’s digital doors open safely.

2.1 You provide directly

2.2 Automatically collected

2.3 Stored on your device

2.4 What we do not collect — and what we will never ask of bhaktas here

Aligned with our non-commercial, devotional purpose, this App does not:

We also do not collect precise GPS location as a core feature, and we do not require your contacts or SMS. Optional permissions (Section 6) appear only when a feature you choose truly needs them (for example, saving an image, sharing, or administrator uploads).

3. How we use information

Every use of data is meant to honour Ma’s name and support the sangat:

4. Third-party services & processors

Even a humble mandir app needs reliable roads in the digital world. We use a small number of technical partners only to deliver darshan and messages—never to monetise devotees. They may process limited data on our behalf or under their own policies; we invite you to read their terms with the same care you would read any sacred trust.

Service Purpose
Google Firebase (e.g. Firebase Cloud Messaging) Push notifications (device token), delivery of notifications, and related Google infrastructure. See Firebase Privacy and Google Privacy Policy.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) / cloud storage & CDN Hosting and delivery of app content (e.g. images, audio/video files or metadata, configuration). Data is processed according to AWS agreements and policies.
YouTube Video playback and viewing of temple videos may use YouTube services and/or the YouTube Data API. Your interaction with YouTube content is subject to YouTube Terms and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Google Fonts (if loaded by linked web pages) Typography may be loaded from Google when viewing policy pages in a browser; see Google’s privacy documentation.

For devotees in regions that recognise specific legal grounds, we rely on:

6. App permissions (Android)

The App may request permissions depending on OS version and features. Typical examples include:

6.1 App permissions (iOS)

On iPhone and iPad, the App may request permissions only when you choose a feature that needs them:

7. Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. On-device cache can be cleared by uninstalling the App or using device settings where available. Emails you send us are retained for as long as needed to respond, maintain a respectful support record, and meet any legal obligations. Administrator content uploaded to the mandir’s systems may be retained as part of temple records.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Important: the App may connect to our services over the internet. We aim to use secure connections where available, but on some networks and for some endpoints the App may allow non-HTTPS traffic. If you are on a public or untrusted network, please use caution.

9. Children and families

Families often bring little ones to Ma’s darbar; likewise, parents may share this App at home for bhajan and darshan. We do not target children for marketing, we show no ads, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the age required where you live) for profiling or behavioural advertising. If you believe a child has shared personal data with us beyond ordinary devotional use, please email us—we will correct it with promptness and prayerful care.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise rights, contact us at the privacy email above. You can disable push notifications in your device settings at any time.

10.1 User Privacy Choices

We respect your choices. You can control privacy-related settings at any time:

We do not sell your personal data and we do not show third-party ads. The App is built for devotional content and temple announcements only.

11. International transfers

Our service providers (e.g. Google, AWS) may process data in countries other than India. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms provided by those vendors.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice (e.g. in-app or via Play Store listing). Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.

13. Google Play & Data safety

In Google Play Console, the Data safety form should reflect this truth: a free, ad-free, non-payment devotional app with no devotee login, temple-only content, and admin access limited to temple authorities. Declare accurately what is processed (e.g. FCM device token, device/app technical data, downloads you initiate, on-device cache), what is shared with service providers (e.g. Google Firebase, AWS, YouTube), and how deletion requests are honoured. Ma’s name is honoured when our words match our deeds.

13.1 Apple App Store notes

For Apple App Store listings and review, this page serves as both our Privacy Policy and User Privacy Choices. The App is free, ad-free, and does not require devotee accounts. Any optional permissions are requested only when needed for a feature you choose (see Section 6). If Apple’s “App Privacy” questionnaire asks about data linked to you for tracking or advertising, note that this App is not built for advertising and does not use third-party ad SDKs.

14. Contact

For privacy questions, corrections, or requests—offered in the spirit of humility before the sangat:

Email: vihatraminfotech@gmail.com

You may also reach us through the developer contact on our Google Play listing once the App is published.
